PC freezing on Intel xHCI motherboards when installing Saitek products.

Solution,

1- Restart your PC and hit Delete on your keyboard at the first image you see when you start your computer. You will access to the Bios of your PC.

2- Switch to Advanced bios (depending of your PC)

3- Go in USB configuration.

4- You will see: Intel xHCI mode. By default in most cases it is "Smart auto". Switch it to Off.

5- Save and quit the Bios.

6- Your PC will reboot and will access to Windows. It will load a new configuration of USB ports and will offer you to reboot your PC. Do so.

7-Install the last version of the Saitek drivers and you should be ready to go!

Other suggestions are to remove Intel's USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller.

Steps,

1- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:

Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall a Program.

Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.

2- When you find the program Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver, click it, and then do one of the following:

Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall.

Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).

3-Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove Intel USB eXtensible Host Controller Driver.
