Can I pair my PlayStation 4 device with more than one console?
Posted by on 01 October 2015 08:34 AM

The PlayStation 4-compatible instruments for Rock Band 4 can store multiple consoles in their memory.  If you wish to pair with another console then simply follow the usual pairing procedure:

  • Turn the instrument on by pressing the PS button
  • If already paired with another console the LED will be flashing blue indicating that it is looking for that console
  • Press and hold the pairing button on the instrument for 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing red and blue alternately
  • On your PlayStation 4 system, use the DualShock 4 controller to navigate to the following menus in sequence:
    • Settings
    • Devices
    • Bluetooth Devices
  • Your instrument should appear in the list of devices - select it and then answer 'Yes' when the console asks if you would like to connect to the instrument
  • Assign the instrument to a user on the system and then you can use the instrument in Rock Band 4

When you then wish to use the instrument on the original console just power it on and it should reconnect with that console.

PLEASE NOTE: if both consoles are in close proximity then the most recently paired console is the one that the instrument will pair and work with.  If you wish to avoid confusion then you should remove the instrument from the Bluetooth Devices screen on the console that you do not wish to use the instrument with.  Simply select the instrument in the Bluetooth Devices menu and then select 'Delete'.
