1.  Change your batteries - a fresh set of quality branded batteries are always recommended as a first step.

2.  Reset your controller

First try and and re-pair your controller with your console.

3.  Reset your console

For PlayStation 4 power off your console by pressing and holding the power button on the console for seven seconds until you hear two beeps.

Once the console is off power it back on and see if your issue still exists.

For Xbox One you reset your console by pressing and holding the power button on the console for ten seconds whilst the system is on.

Once the console is off power it back on and see if your issue still exists.

4.  Calibrate your game

Within Rock Band 4, go to the options selection from the main menu and then select calibration.

If using your Wireless Fender Stratocaster controller the game will utilise the autocalibration function courtesy of the sensors built into the controller.  Follow onscreen instructions to complete.

If using your Wireless Drum set, the game will prompt you to hit the green drum pad in time with the audio/visual cues onscreen.
