If I have a problem, should I return my product to retailer or place of purchase?

No: Your best option is to contact Mad Catz customer support first.  Do not return the product to the store/online retailer unless you are advised by a Mad Catz agent; usually the stores and online retailers do not have the on-hand inventory to exchange the product.

Furthermore, they cannot repair or service the FightPad, Arcade FightSticks, Tournament Edition FightStick.
